Description:  KCS "Extra West" train creeps at 10mph through Ethelsville, Alabama where original GM&O siding still exists to some extent. It has taken this train about four hours to get here from Tuscaloosa.

Description:  KCS "Birmingham" Train on CSX rails running as CSX Z776, eastbound, just west of Bessemer. It left Tuscaloosa earlier in the day on the old GM&O Warrior Branch, then jumped on the old L&N at a new KCS connection in Holt, Ala. Photo some time in 2005.

Title:  KCS "Birmingham" Train Z776
Description:  KCS "Birmingham" train at Yolande, Ala. on CSX rails running as CSX train Z776. It is leaving the Davis Creek Block, heading East toward Birmingham. This track is the old L&N line that ran from Birmingham, to Brookwood, then to Tuscaloosa. Photo some time in 2005.

KCS "Extra West" at KCS/NS interlock
Title:  KCS "Extra West" at KCS/NS interlock
Description:  The KCS "Extra West" pulls through the interlock with the NS. NS A37 (Tuscaloosa local) can be seen waiting in the background, and KCS conductor in forground who just manually operated interlock timer/signal. This KCS train was in storage on a dead-end track, and is now headed west (toward the yard), and eventually to Artesia, Miss. Date some time in 2005.
